Arrived in Nashville!
This morning, the Kickstarter campaign officially got funded. This is exciting for many reasons - the primary reason being that I was going to do this project no matter what. The studio, musicians, travel, etc had already been booked. In fact, I was here in Nashville sitting in Christ Presbyterian Church when my phone went off notifying me that the campaign was over and funded. Wonderful timing, and a wonderful reminder of God's faithfulness in this entire process. A little more about this trip - I am in Nashville for four days before recording the record for a work-related conference - this is one of the reasons I chose to do this record - because I'd already be in the city I had never been to and wanted to record in. And listen - Nashville is fantastic. So many highlights of my first 24 hours in this city: Meeting a local gentleman sitting next to me on the plane who told me about half a dozen places I can find delicious Nashville hot chicken....
